Wrigley Field had its 100th birthday last season, and is undergoing modifications and renovations for 2015. Some of them won't be ready for the SMLB Season Opener on Sun Apr.05, 2015. in the North Side of the Windy City. Tickets are going for $150 each, but if you had the luck to buy a 12 game fan flex pack yesterday. then you scored tickets to the opener and 11 other contests at about $25 per ticket.

At last, we have the majority of all 30 MLB teams scheduled start times.  The Padres, Indians, White Sox and Astros were the last 4 clubs to join the party.  Yes, I will continue to call franchises out on this aspect.. It costs you people from including your park as part of their road trips when they are trying to finagle the landscape of a trip itinerary for time, and you have yet to put them up before other squads.

Having said that, I have no complaints in how the actual times they put forth on their year calendars.  I was stoked about a month ago, as it looked like I had a perfect storm brewing for a World Record Chase for either my own record (ALL 30 MLB Parks, every pitch of every game, in just 23 days).

What happened after that is the Canadian dollar went from hovering 90 cents versus the American Dollar, all the way to just over 80 cents.  The costs were mounting astronomically for an odyssey that requires special kinds of transportation to break the damn thing.

Secondly, I had horrible news (schedule wise) from the Cubs/Brewers, Rays/Marlins, and Giants/A’s all hosting games in their towns in respective areas, only to not have one scheduled available Doubleheader for all of the ballpark chasers to attend every pitch.  I was frustrated at all concerned, and packed in the thought of trying for either. world record journey in 2015.

The Doubleheader of the Rangers and Astros was made possible by Texas having a 1:05 start time in Arlingon, and Minute Maid being at a 7:05 with a flight at 535, leaving DAL Love Airport and arriving at HOU Hobby Aiport at 6:30. It was one of 3 new Doubleheaders I could add to a potential record chase yesterday

Yesterday’s 2015 Astros and White Sox schedules were released, followed by the Indians posting as well, and concluded with the Padres finishing putting forth 90% of their schedule, and the results had me beaming from ear to ear.   It created 3 more doubleheaders in the window of June 15th to July 9th, 2015.  I will be writing blogs about the possibility of doing either attempt.

This will be the best time frame for either of these marks to be bested in 2015. I have written blogs like this for the last 3 years prior to the baseball campaign.

Suffice it to say, there is a lot of driving involved whether I would go for the land or air record.  The land record will be for 30 – 25, and is the only time I have ever seen a chance to break Josh Robbins incredible 30 – 26 feat in 2008.  There are just not many chances to place 5 doubleheader opportunities in 25 days, when you factor in all the scenarios of doing a trip all by ground transportation.

The trip for the air would be 30 – 22 as of right now, which would best my accomplishment in 2012 by 1 day, but I need a perfect 8/8 in days with 2 games slated to see.  That is tough, however I did hit 6 DH’s in a row during my 2009 streak.

There is a super chance that schedule would become 30 – 21, with the New York Yankees vs the Tigers at Yankees Stadium on June 21st being a TBD on a Sunday night currently.  I could line up the Toronto Blue Jays and the Rogers Center if the game in New York has the unique 8:05 ESPN Sundaty night start time.  I have completed a Toronto and Bronx DH in each of the last 2 record attempts.  The only other way to curb this is if they decided to go with Giants at Dodger Stadium, (the only other TBD on the docket right now.)

I could honestly see the network choose that as the Pinstripers are on ESPN Sunday schedule 3 times in the first 5 contests.  A 30-22 shot would have about a 25 – 33% for me to break the mark of 30/23.  You get me an extra game to play with, and it is more like 50%, and additionally about 65% to tie the mark again.

Whatever the case, this situation is now a possibility after I had given up hope about a week ago.  I have secured enough of the financing with the US Dollar, it won’t floor my dreams if it falls greater throughout 2015.

In other news, the Wrigley Field bleacher’s not being ready for the start of the year had caused me to worry about prices for the Season Opener.  My buddy Bob Devries ( fellow baseball fan, who has hit all 30 MLB twice in consecutive years in his life – 2009 and 2010). sent me a link for Cubs 12 pack tickets.

I didn’t waste a second.  I was ecstatic to see the North Side of Chicago’s brass decided to let the fans have their own games to choose for the tickets.

I secured opening day (Thwarting off $150 per ticket prices on STUBHUB), and am going to the game officially.  I bought 24 total tickets for less than $25 a piece throughout the 2015 campaign at Wrigley.  Another winner-winner chicken dinner on the value card.  I have now bought 60 of 229 game tickets needed, so I better get back to it.

I say thumbs up to the Indians having a 12:05 start time for select Thursday games near summer - and also for PNC Park for being 132 Miles away to combine it for a Doubleheader chance. "Let's Play 2" added to the date of Thursday June 24th...
